Thank you for writing us about your problem with using GNU Octave. To help us help you, please answer the following questions, if applicable.
I am not able to use CTRL+C and CTRL+V to copy and paste commands in the command window anymore.
- OS: Windows 10 (version 2009)
- Octave version: Version 7.1.0
- Installation method: Downloaded and installed “octave-7.1.0-w64-installer.exe” from Download
Please try the following: In the GUI, go to Edit / Preferences, then the Shortcuts tab. Is the “Disable global shortcuts when Command Window has focus” checked or unchecked? If you change the option, does the ability to use Ctrl-C / V change?
It was checked, I unchecked it and now it works as I wanted. Thank you!
I could not copy-paste with CTRL+C and CTRL+V either w/ 7.1.0, and unchecking the mentioned box worked for me too.
I had not uninstalled 6.4.0. I was looking to it for reference to get 7.1.0 to behave similarly, but that box was checked and I could copy-paste with CTRL+C and CTRL+V.
Ctrl-C and Crtl-V was handled specially older versions.
