I really cannot express myself clearly on this matter to the point that I could not even look for a solution in the already asked questions, so I’m just posting two images.
I would like to be able to switch between these two types of output layouts:
I know there is a way to interchange bewteen them in Octave, but I could not remember nor find it.
- OS: Windows 11 (version 2022)
- Octave version: Version 7.1.0
Maybe it’s this:
Function Reference: sympref (sourceforge.io)
Display of syms:
⇒ ans = unicode
sympref display flat
⇒ (sym) sin(x/2)
sympref display ascii
sympref display unicode
sympref display default
By default, a unicode pretty printer is used to display symbolic expressions. If that doesn’t work (e.g., if you see ? characters) then try the ascii option.
