Strings package installation fails

Thanks for your attention. :upside_down_face:

The latest Octave Forge string package 1.2.0 was released in 2015 and is unfortunately not updated, recently. Bugs are already reported.

Octave’s MS Windows installer you can start a patched version of the strings package by just loading it.

pkg load strings
