Since java methods can be called from octave m-files, would it be useful to have syntax highlighting for java files in the gui editor?
This seems useful and is probably not too difficult, since the Debian/Ubuntu package libqscintilla2-qt5-dev already contains the lexer
Do like to start a discussion about it? I would be fine with it. As you are one of the main Octave GUI programmers I think you want to come up with such a change soon by yourself?
I just wanted to get some opinions before spending time and effort because I was wondering why Java was not added from the very beginning whereas Perl and Bash was.
